METRO Announces Memorial Route Schedule

HOUSTON — Need a ride Memorial Day observances at the Houston National Cemetery on Monday? METRO announced its holiday schedule for the Memorial Day weekend.

METRO officials said the 96 Veterans Memorial bus route will provide hourly service to the Houston V.A. National Cemetery from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Monday. Local bus fare is always $1.25 and good for up to three hours.

Other local METRO routes will run on a Sunday schedule, officials said Wednesday.

• METRO Park & Ride service will not operate.
• METRORail will run on a Sunday schedule of service (see schedules for Red, Green and Purple lines.) You can also download a METRORail Rider Guide here.
• All HOV/HOT lanes along the following corridors IH-45 S, IH-45 N, US-59 N, US-59 S & US 290 will be closed.
• All METRO RideStores and Lost & Found will be closed.
