Monkey On The Loose In South Houston After Attacking Girl And Her Grandfather
Monkey jumps into pickup truck and attacks family before getting punched in the face and out the window

HOUSTON, TX — A monkey jumped through an open window of a pickup truck and went all ape this week in South Houston. While Michael Schliesing and his granddaughter, Mariah, were near Austin Street and Iowa Street on Tuesday, they saw the monkey and stopped to take a photo.
That's when the monkey quickly and unexpectedly jumped through the window and began monkeying around. This wasn't Curious George by any means, but grandpa became Furious Michael and punched the monkey smack dab in the face, and subsequently the monkey bailed out of the truck.
"I wanted her to take a picture of it, but we never thought it would jump in the window," Michael told ABC 13. "I hollered at it and I hit it right in the head right in the face and knocked it out the window."

The monkey didn't bite either human, per report, and the monkey hasn't been seen or captured since the event. No rabies shots were needed for Mariah since she wasn't bit, but she did receive antibiotics since she was scratched by the primate.
