Police Release Sketch Of Man Who Fatally Stabbed METRO Bus Rider

Homicide investigators released a sketch of a man wanted in the fatal stabbing of a man at a METRO Bus stop on Saturday.

HOUSTON — Homicide investigators have released the composite sketch of a man who wanted in the stabbing death of a man on Saturday evening. Houston Police were called to the 9900 block of Almeda Genoa Road at about 5 p.m. for a stabbing in progress at a METRO bus stop.

Witnesses said the suspect, who is described only as a black male in his late 30s to early 40s, began stabbing another man, and then fled on foot and was last seen headed west on Almeda Genoa Road.

The 26-year-old victim was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses said the suspect is about 5-feet-10, with a slim build and short black hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has not yet released the identity of the stabbing victim, police said.
