Students Selected for International Science Olympiad
Thousands of students representing 64 countries, 40 states will showcase approximately 420 projects that try to answer needs of the future.

From ISWEEP: Students near you will travel to Houston, Texas, next week to compete in the International Sustainable World Energy, Engineering, Environment, Project – or ISWEEEP -- the largest international science competition focused on renewable resources.
From May 3 – 8, thousands of students representing 64 countries and 40 states will showcase approximately 420 projects that try to answer the pressing needs of the future.
These projects were selected out of thousands of applications because of their potential to revolutionize industries, such as information technologies, healthcare and energy. Previous winners include science prodigy Jack Andraka with his world-changing research on pancreatic cancer.

Harmony Public Schools, the Texas-based public charter school, produces ISWEEEP and gives more than $100,000 in awards and scholarships during the event. Students are evaluated on the research’s originality and benefits to society, scientific method, analysis, and presentation. A grand prize winner is chosen from each of the four categories: Energy, Engineering, Environment: Management and Pollution, Environment: Health and Disease Prevention.
