Texans Trade RB Mark Ingram To Saints: Report
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Ingram will return to the Saints. Details of the trade are being finalized.

HOUSTON, TX — The Houston Texans are trading running back Mark Ingram to the New Orleans Saints, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Wednesday.
Pelissero reported details of the trade are being finalized but likely will include a swap of future late-round draft picks.
Ingram returns to New Orleans, where he started his career. The 2009 Heisman winner from the University of Alabama played for the Saints from 2011-18 and the Baltimore Ravens for the 2019 and 2020 seasons.

He signed a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Texans in March. He has rushed for 294 yards and a touchdown on 92 carries in seven games this season while splitting the running back duties with David Johnson and Phillip Lindsay.

Ingram has 7,618 rushing yards in his career, fifth-most among active players, and 63 touchdowns.
Texans receiver Brandin Cooks bristled at the news and expressed his frustrations on Twitter.
"This is bull****. Such a joke," Cooks said in the tweet.
Saints running back Alvin Kamara had quite the opposite reaction and is seemingly excited to reunite with his old backfield mate. The two were teammates in 2017 and 2018, Kamara's first two seasons in the league.
