Texas Democrat Al Green Calls For Impeachment Vote Against Trump
Al Green, (D-TX) has renewed his push for articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump.

HOUSTON, TX - U.S. Rep. Al Green, a Houston area Democrat and a critic of President Donald Trump's since his election, has renew his push for articles of impeachment, Green's office announced on Monday.
Green said he would move to force a vote in the House of Representatives, calling Trump as a man unfit for to be president.
"The President of the United States is a racist, a bigot, a misogynist, as well as an invidious prevaricator," Green said in his statement. "To say that Donald John Trump is unfit for the Office of the President of the United States is an understatement. He is unfit for public office, and if he displayed any of these behaviors in most private companies, he would be summarily terminated with haste."

Less than six months after Trump was sworn in, Green took to the floor of the House and became the first congressional leader to call for Trump's impeachment. In May 2017, Green cited possible Russian collusion in the 2016 election, obstruction of justice, and the firing of former FBI Director James Comey as the reasons for impeachment.

Congressional leaders resisted impeachment proceedings in 2017, although many are in favor of impeachment proceedings.
Green said Monday be was angered by tweets from Trump on Sunday that took aim at congressional Democrats, as well as the ICED raids on Sunday.
Green said he intends to bring the vote for impeachment to the House floor, citing "...bigotry in policy, harmful to our society."
