HOUSTON, TX — Thieves used a stolen pickup in a dramatic smash and grab at a River Oaks Apple Store early Wednesday, according to Houston Police.
Investigators said an off-duty Harris County Sheriff’s deputy was working as security inside the store at about 4:15 a.m., when the pickup hurled through the glass store front after smashing through the concrete barriers.
