HOUSTON, TX — It's Father's Day weekend, and that means it's all about showing a little love to the man in your life you call dad.
While many may opt for a cheesy card, an ugly tie, or some other horrendous gag gift, there are ways to show how much you love your dad, such as treating him to a steak and cold beer, doing the yard work for him without complaining (yeah right), or something else cool.

Field and Stream In-Store Father's Day Celebration|Saturday starting at 9 a.m.| Baybrook Mall & The Shops at Park West| To celebrate Father’s Day, Field & Stream is proud to host its first in-store ‘Father’s Day Celebration,’ a daylong event featuring activities for children, product giveaways and gift card drawings for local Houston customers. To kick-off the ‘Father’s Day Celebration,’ the first 50 people in line prior to store open will receive a FREE Field & Stream Spatula for Dad. Kids will also have the opportunity to build their own Father’s Day card to help Dad celebrate his special day. Additionally, customers will get the chance to win an assortment of outdoor giveaways, including the Ultimate Dad Prize Pack.
Major Series of Putting Houston |Northgate Country Club| Saturday @ 10 a.m.| Are you one of MSOP’s next champion putters? You don’t have to be a pro to compete. Tickets are $100.
Hot Undies Run|Saturday @ 11 a.m.| The Gorgeous Gael| Strip down to your skivvies and beat feet for 2 miles. Proceeds from this race will go to Girls on the Run of Greater Houston. Tickets start at $30.
USA Rugby vs. Scotland| BBVA Compass Stadium| Saturday @ 8 p.m.| Tickets start at $23| Cheer on the good old USA as the Scotland. It's a great alternative before football season.
Father’s Day Breakfast @ Hermann Park| Sunday 8:30-10|A great start to celebrating dad begins with breakfast on the Pinewood Cafe patio, followed by train ride on the Hermann Park Railroad (Choo-Choo). Tickets are $14 for adults and $7 for kids 12 and younger.
Texas Taco Mania @Bayou City Events Center|Sunday noon-9|If dad got breakfast in bed for his special day, tacos could be on the dad's day lunch menu. Heap on some live music and a classic car show and you're giving dad something pretty cool. Tickets.
Slayer in Concert @Smart Financial Centre| Sunday @ 5 p.m.| Dad embraces his headbanger past with Slayer, Behemoth, Anthrax, and a lot more. Tickets start at $39.50.
Dad Jokes: A Father’s Day Comedy Show| The Secret Group| Sunday 7:30-10| "So a horse walks into a bar, the the bartender say's, 'why the long face?'" It's a night of corny jokes and cheesy things that only dad can relate to. Your dad gets in free, but tickets for non-dads will cost $5.
