UNITS Moving and Portable Storage of Houston Gulf Coast

December is National Giving Month and the local owners of UNITS Moving and Portable Storage of Houston Gulf Coast are taking it to the next level by donating to Toys for Tots and issuing a “Spread the Love Challenge” to other local businesses, to help make the holidays bright for those in need.

Whether an organization decides to adopt a family, take up an office collection, or volunteer with a local charity, the folks at UNITS want to challenge businesses in our area to go the extra mile this year to multiply their giving and Spread the Love!!

Here’s how UNITS is tripling up on doing good starting with Toys for Tots:

• Giving Step #1: UNITS donated containers at Ellington Naval Base and around town to collect and deliver new, unwrapped toys for the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots program.
• Giving Step #2: Every person who donates a toy gets a discount on any container rental.
• Giving Step #3: For every toy donation and container rental, UNITS makes a cash contribution that goes straight to the Wounded Warrior Project to help provide care for wounded veterans.

“My brother-in-law is a Retired Marine who served several tours in Afghanistan and was wounded in combat. Supporting our military and children are two areas that we are passionate about so we are going to continue to offer discounts throughout the year so we can gather as many toys for the children as we can,” said Kelley Whiteside, owner of UNITS Moving and Portable Storage of Houston Gulf Coast. “We are a locally owned business that strongly believes in supporting our community through giving back. Giving is contagious and we truly want to “Spread the Love” and pay it forward as much as we can. To think of a child not having presents at Christmas is heartbreaking. It’s a small way to make a big difference!”
