Woman Who Shot Boyfriend Outside Mall Is Charged With Murder
A fight that started inside Willowbrook Mall ended in deadly gunfire in the parking lot Monday night, police said.

HOUSTON, TX — A violent lover's quarrel between a man and a woman turned deadly when police said the woman shot and killed her boyfriend Monday night. Police have now charged 32-year-old Emily Rose Orbe with the murder of her 40-year-old boyfriend.
Houston Police were called at about 8:30 p.m. to Willowbrook Mall on FM 1960 at State Highway 249 after witnesses reported a shooting in the parking lot.
When police arrived they found the man dead, and Orbe with cuts and bruises on her body. Witnesses told investigators that the fight between the couple started inside the mall and spilled into the parking lot.

Witnesses told police Orbe was seen screaming for help as she drove her Dodge SUV after her boyfriend who was driving a motorcycle.

The chase ended at a nearby credit union parking lot when Orbe allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the man to death.

Orbe was taken an area hospital for treatment and was taken to the Harris County Jail, where she was charged with murder. The name of the victim has not been released. The cause of the shooting is under investigation.
