• Jarrell Officer Shoots Driver After High-Speed Chase On I-35 (hoodline.com) — A Jarrell traffic stop on Sunday night turned into a 100‑mph chase on northbound I‑35, ending when a Jarrell officer shot a 20‑year‑old driver, who is now in stable condition. Investigators say the SUV sped through a construction zone, nearly hitting workers, and later found a gun and suspected drugs in the vehicle. The Texas Rangers are leading the investigation, and the officer is on paid leave.
