Snowball Express Flies FromΒ McAllenΒ International Airport (texasborderbusiness.com) β Families of fallen first responders flew out of McAllen International Airport on a special Gary Sinise Foundation Snowball Express flight to Disney World, with city leaders emphasizing the communityβs gratitude and support. McAllen was chosen as a departure city, and local airport and American Airlines staff worked to give the families a caring, memorable send-off.

COSTEP is building a Binational Education Database to share with the World (texasborderbusiness.com) β McAllen recently hosted a COSTEP-led binational meeting where education and economic leaders advanced plans for a public database cataloging all academic and training programs across Rio South Texas and Northern Tamaulipas. Guerra confirms Ternium USA will not be building a terminal at the Port of Brownsville (riograndeguardian.com) β From a meeting at McAllen Country Club, Brownsville Navigation District chairman Esteban Guerra confirmed Ternium USA has dropped plans for a new terminal at the Port of Brownsville but will keep moving steel through the port. He highlighted roughly $25 billion in potential projects and thousands of good-paying jobs that could benefit the wider Rio Grande Valley, including McAllen residents.
