- The City of Midland will be closing Hogan and Beal dog parks for maintenance and weed control. The maintenance work will be done from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and pets will not be allowed in the park until the treatment process is done. The Hogan Dog Park will be closed on Jun. 27 and the Beal Dog Park will be closed on Jul. 3. (City of Midland - Public Information via Facebook)
- An Odessa man walking on BI-20 was killed after being struck on Thursday morning, Jun. 22. Noe Ray Sanchez was walking in the inside lane on the westbound side of the road when he was hit by a Dodge Ram by South Country Road 1305. The driver was a 41-year-old male, and no additional information has been released about the driver, victim, or what factors motivated the incident. (Odessa American)
- The new Curb Side Bistro location in Midland offers more space and opportunity for chef Alejandro Barrientos. The new location is so large it features a mural on one wall and plenty of art and decor for a cool atmosphere. The new location will also allow Barrientos to do something he's wanted to do at his restaurant, which is offer sliders, ciders, and beer pairings with the restaurant's menu items. Curb Side Bistro will announce its grand opening when it becomes available here. (KOSA)

- The Odessa Police Department has received $135,000 from the Bustin' for Badges sporting clays tournament. Since 2014, the event has raised $3.5 million for the four local law enforcement agencies in the Permian Basin. This year's proceeds were the largest of any year with a total amount raised of $540,000. (Odessa Police Department via Facebook)

- Odessa Police Department Lt. Caleb Lacey was honored at the "Odessa Under 40" gala event! The event honors professionals who are exceptional at what they do under the age of 40.
