Pasadena Starts Construction on Garner Road

Harris County and the city of Pasadena have announced an 18 month construction project on Garner Road.

Pasadena, TX -- Harris County and the city of Pasadena will begin a $5.7 million project to widen Garner Road by adding a continuous left turn lane for the road's entire three-quarter of a mile length.

The construction is expected to last until the fall of 2017 at the latest, according to a written statement from Harris County Pct. 2 Commissioner Jack Morman. The road work is expected to inconvenience area drivers.

Eastbound traffic, heading towards Pasadena Boulevard, will find Garner Road reduced to one lane. Westbound traffic, heading toward Shaver Street, will be diverted on to Austin Avenue
