Students Sign Letters Of Intent To Pursue Skilled Trade Careers

Students were celebrated among administrators, teachers, SkillsUSA advisors, family and friends, as they take the next step in their future.

PASADENA, TX -- It was a National Signing Day of a different kind in Pasadena ISD where 15 high school seniors at Dr. Kirk Lewis Career & Technical High School were recognized as they signed their “letters of intent” for a job offer, apprenticeship or advanced technical training.

“We are thrilled we were able to partner with SkillsUSA and Klein Tools’ for the first-ever National Signing Day,” says Chad Phillips, assistant principal of Dr. Kirk Lewis Career & Technical High School. “As the shortage of skilled workers worsens, we at Dr. Kirk Lewis Career & Technical High School encourage students to enter this rewarding industry upon graduation. Our seniors should be very proud of everything they have accomplished at Dr. Kirk Lewis Career & Technical High School as they continue to further their education and training post-graduation. We wish them all the best as they prepare for their lifelong careers.”

Dr. Kirk Lewis Career and Technical High School (CTHS) is a school of choice for students in grades 9-12 in the Pasadena Independent School District and provides the opportunity for students to select a career and technical education pathway from over 20 different program offerings.
