One Plano robbery suspect arrested, another still at large
One Plano robbery suspect is now in custody while local authorities are still trying to locate and arrest the second suspect

PLANO - In the wake of a recent armed robbery in Plano, a woman is now in police custody, with a man continuing to evade capture.
In a tense scenario that unfolded last Thursday evening, Plano Police Department urged residents to stay indoors as the armed duo eluded law enforcement. The department has since advised that there is no longer a need for residents to remain inside their homes.
The sequence of events began when the pair of suspects were allegedly arranging a purchase of a firearm. In a dramatic turn of events, the planned transaction became a theft as the suspects reportedly took the weapon from the seller.

Law enforcement officers spotted the vehicle in which the suspects were traveling, and initiated a traffic stop. The suspects, however, chose to evade capture and eventually came to a stop on the 900 block of K Avenue. According to officers, the duo then abandoned the vehicle, each suspect fleeing in different directions.
The subsequent manhunt spanned areas including the 900 K Avenue at E. Plano Parkway and the intersection of 10th Street and J Avenue. Residents were advised to remain vigilant, and to report any suspicious individuals by staying indoors and dialing 911. To aid the search, a K-9 unit and drone were put to use.

As of Thursday evening, the female suspect had been apprehended. However, the male suspect remains at large. In a positive development, the police have confirmed the recovery of the stolen firearms.
