• Apartment Tower Construction to Gear Up at Plano's Park at Legacy (candysdirt.com) — A major new 22‑story apartment tower is set to break ground in April at The Park at Legacy, transforming the former JCPenney headquarters campus on Legacy Drive into a dense mixed‑use district. The $102.8 million first phase will add 261 luxury units, a large garage, and amenities, alongside future townhomes, offices, restaurants, a hotel, and outdoor spaces that aim to inject fresh energy into this 107‑acre Plano site.
   

• Plano's 2026 priorities include enticing the Dallas Stars to move North, finding a DART solution, and fixing those darn roads (wfaa.com) — Plano leaders are weighing big 2026 decisions, from a possible Dallas Stars arena at The Shops at Willow Bend to whether the city should stay in DART under new terms. Mayor John Muns also warns residents to expect continued road and water-main construction as Plano overhauls major streets to keep infrastructure strong for decades.
