• Support local patients during National Blood Donor Month in January (blueribbonnews.com) — Rockwall residents are invited to kick off the new year by donating blood at Children’s Lighthouse Rockwall on January 12, 2026, from 1–6 p.m. Donations collected by Carter BloodCare stay in Texas to help local patients, and eligible donors can reserve a time slot online or by phone. Teens 16 and up may participate with proper consent.
   

• Arkansas State Red Wolves look for second straight postseason win in first Xbox Bowl (arkansasonline.com) — A familiar name for Rockwall football fans will be under the lights tonight, as Missouri State quarterback Jacob Clark, who hails from Rockwall, leads the Bears into the inaugural Xbox Bowl in Frisco. The matchup against Arkansas State at the Ford Center highlights Clark’s standout season and gives several North Texas players a rare chance to play a postseason game close to home.
