Here are the top stories in Round Rock today:
- The Round Rock Police Department invites the community to attend their Public Safety Day on Sept. 24th. Residents will be able to meet first responders and see the many different vehicles used for each department such as: EMS, fire department, SWAT, crime scene vehicles, hazmat and more. This is a free event for all ages, and there will be free face painting and games to enjoy. (RoundRockTexas.Gov)
- Space Cowboys win in the finale at Dell Diamond against the Round Rock Express. The final score for Sunday was 5-1. Though this was a loss for our home team, Meibrys Viloria scored a solo home run in the eighth inning. (OurSports Central)

- On Sunday Sept. 11th, many honored those we lost 21 years ago in the tragedy of 9/11. The City of Round Rock and many volunteers placed 4,000 American flags at Yonder’s Point in tribute to the lives lost. 2,996 flags, one for each American life, and the remaining 1,004 flags represent Texans we have lost since 9/11. - 😃❤️🎉❤️ Check out all the creative efforts put into making paper mache esqueletos (skeletons) that the Pearson Ranch Middle School teachers worked on for Dia de los Muertos on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Centennial Plaza from noon to 8 p.m.
- Voigt Elementary Arts Integration Academy encourages folks to join them for their first family movie night of the year! 🍿Encanto will be playing on 🗓Friday, September 16th from ⏰5:30-7:30 p.m. Popcorn, snacks, and refreshments will be available for purchase at the event. (Facebook)
