🌱 Round Rock's High Number Of Remote Workers + Ikea Festival Begins

Hey, you! Good morning, neighbors. Ya'll made it to Fri-Yay! *Cheers* Let me fill you in on the need-to-knows before the Labor Day weekend festivities begin!

First, today's weather:

Mostly cloudy with a t-shower. High: 91 Low: 75. Who else is enjoying the fruits of greener grass, and plants that have been watered down by the recent rains? Didn't get a shower yesterday like forecasted, let's keep our fingers crossed fro some rain today!

Here are the top stories today in Round Rock:

1. There were at least 10 commercial permits filed recently in our city of Round Rock. Most are renovations or add-ons to existing businesses/institutions with a couple being totally new construction. Baylor Scott and White Round Rock Hospital has quite the expansion project going on with estimated completion in 2024. (Community Impact)
2. Labor Day Weekend is approaching and a lot of you have already made your plans. If you're plans get canceled or you have nothing in store, definitely check out these local events and prepare ahead of time for a safe ride home if alcohol will be involved in your festivities! (All Events)
3. Did you know that Round Rock has one of the highest number of remote workers, ages 16 and up, in the U.S.? The industries occupied by these remote positions include finance, tech, insurance, and professional consulting. 4. Our city has been on a path of growth for decades. It is booming here, and morepeople are agreeing that Round Rock is one of the best places to buy a home where you don't have to sacrifice the convenience of traveling to the metro city of Austin. • Wow! Take a look inside C.D. Fulkes Middle School's new state-of-the-art building. This new facility is one of the most important projects of Bond 2018. The students are certainly excited and more ready to learn, and the teachers and staff are just as excited for these new changes! (Facebook)

• Let me tell you something... If Round Rock is not one of the coolest places to live, this event, 'Life is S'more Fun When You're with Family and Friends' might change your mind!
