Here are the top stories in Round Rock today:

  1. Jeremy Barclay (CEO of St. David's Round Rock Medical Center), Kate Henderson (President of regional hospitals and community partnerships for Ascension Texas), and Drew Bennett (Vice President of Operations for Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Round Rock) all contributed to a discussion regarding local healthcare in Round Rock. Conclusively, Ascension Seton opened up its 6th floor and has opened various specialized services for patients, Barclay believes we are at the "endemic" phase of the Covid-19 pandemic, and all of these facilities are working on a "universal hospital bed" approach so that more patients can benefit from hospital resources. (Community Impact)
  2. Round Rock Express OF Bubba Thompson was named 2022 Round Rock Express Most Valuable Player. Thompson played in 80 games and hit .303 with 49 stolen bases for Round Rock Express before his Major League debut for the Rangers in August 2022. He has been described as being "electrifying" with his incredible speed and power during games. We wish Bubba Thompson the best on his new journey with the Rangers, and appreciate his humbleness to local fans during his short time with the Round Rock Express! (OurSports Central)
  3. Round Rock's "Music on Main" event brings award-winning musician, Carolyn Wonderland to town! She performs Blues, Americana, and Alternative Country music and can be visited at Centennial Plaza on October 5th, from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Wonderland kicks off the beginning of "Music on Main's" live music festival which will bring other artists and vendors through November 9th. Remember to bring water and sunglasses as it may be quite hot! (City of Round Rock)
  4. When you're looking to have the interior or exterior of your home painted, HSP Painting Company has a detailed regimen in helping in the design process, offering an array of paint colors to satisfy customer needs, and providing exemplary communication and customer care throughout the services. This local contractor has grown due to its fantastic work ethic mainly due to its strict screening of hiring the best, skilled painters as well as having the preparation process down to a tee, making sure the job is done right the first time! • Hey, fellow mamas! Did you know that the CHASCO Family YMCA offers a program called "Mother's Day Out!"? Some learning areas will be: Language, Cognitive, Physical, Creative Art, and Social-Emotional awareness. To view more about this program, please visit the YMCA website for guidelines and sign-up.
