Ex-NFL Quarterback Vince Young Arrested For 2nd DWI

Former NFL quarterback Vince Young was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated Monday morning in Missouri City, police said.

MISSOURI CITY, TX — Former NFL quarterback Vince Young spent the first hours of Monday morning in the Fort Bend County jail after he was charged with driving while intoxicated, according to police.

Young, 35, was pulled over on Sienna Parkway near the intersection with Sienna Ranch Road at about 3:45 a.m. Monday, and was released after posting a $500 bail several hours later.

Police said Young had slurred speech and had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath when speaking with officers.

Young, who grew up in the area, was a star quarterback at Madison High School and the University of Texas.

He was part of a Longhorn team that won the NCAA national championship when the Longhorns defeated the USC Trojans in the 2006 Rose Bowl.

Young, who retired in 2014 after a six-year NFL career, was arrested in Austin in 2016 for DWI after he was seen driving erratically on Interstate 35.
