• Texas High School Coach Accused Of Soliciting Minor Online (txktoday.com) — A former coach with Texarkana Texas ISD has been charged with online solicitation involving a 16-year-old girl, according to recent court records. Authorities say the 26-year-old allegedly requested explicit photos and discussed sexual activity via social media. If convicted, he faces up to ten years in prison, and the case is now before 202nd District Judge John Tidwell.

• Prep Basketball: Texas High girls remain undefeated, claim Pine Tree tournament title (texarkanagazette.com) — Texarkana fans have plenty to cheer about as the Texas High girls basketball team has opened the season 10-0, highlighted by a dominant run to the Pine Tree Tournament title. Senior Sereniti Collins earned MVP honors, and the Lady Tigers have been blowing out opponents while holding them to just over 31 points a game. They resume district play Friday at the Tiger Center against Hallsville.
   

• Victim's teen daughter testifies, state rests in case against Rodney Lindley (texarkanagazette.com) — A Texarkana man is on trial after prosecutors say a 13-year-old girl saw him fatally shoot her mother inside a home on Alexander Avenue. Jurors heard the teen’s emotional testimony, a recorded jail call capturing a gunshot and children screaming, and expert witnesses disputing the defense claim that the shooting was an accident. The trial continues at the Bowie County Courthouse in New Boston.
