The city recently adopted a tax rate that slightly raises maintenance and operations taxes while still keeping Tyler’s overall rate among the lowest in Smith County.

Tyler to Upgrade Sidewalks and Transit Stops with $500K Accessibility Project (kltv.com) — Tyler is investing about $585,000 to fix dangerous sidewalk gaps and make bus stops and park entrances safer and more accessible across the city, with construction expected to start in early 2026.
