- Victoria Police Department K-9's Maverick and Rogue have received new protective vests. The bullet and stab protective vests were provided by the non-profit charity Vested Interest. "In memory of the K-9s who served and sacrificed in 2022" is embroidered on the vests. (Victoria Advocate)
- The City of Victoria will be holding a free car seat inspection on Friday, May 26 at the Children's Discovery Museum from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Caregivers need to bring a child and the child's car seat to the event. Caregivers will be shown how to safely install a car seat and the proper way to use a seatbelt. (Crossroads Today)
- Victoria Parks and Recreation has announced two events coming up on Jun. 3. There will be a Summer Kickoff Kayak Clinic at 9:30 a.m. at Riverside Park. This will include a 4.2-mile trip down the river with lunch included. There will also be a Hike to the Guadalupe event starting at 9:00 a.m. from the Riverside Park Rose Garden.
