Here are the top three stories in Victoria today:
- On Monday, Victoria County officials heard the results of the Victoria Public Library's appraisal. The appraisal found the library to be worth $3.36 million, and described the condition of the building as "average." Appraisers from Houston-based Valbridge Property Advisors also found that the library's "immediate needs" include repairing the parking lot and sealing roof leaks, which would cost $95,000. - In just under two weeks, the Victoria Generals will play the home opener of their 15th season in the Texas Collegiate League. This season, Texas Roadhouse is presenting another Opening Day Free Ticket Night for fans as the Generals fight against the Baton Rouge Rougarou. (Victoria Generals via Facebook)
- In case you missed it: Riverside Park is making significant strides in its construction projects. The dog park is introducing walking paths and separate areas for big and small dogs. Additionally, the duck pond is taking shape with a walking path, duck feeding area, and a new gazebo overlook, set to open this fall. (Crossroads Today)

- This Thursday, May 25, at 5:30 p.m., Victoria Parks and Recreation will host a free kids' yoga class in the park for children ages four and up. - The Texas Legislative Session is set to end in less than a week on Monday, May 29. So far, almost 3,000 bills have already passed the House and Senate and are waiting for the governor. (WFAA)
