Arrest Report: Victoria County Dec 8 to Dec 14, 2025 (victoriaadvocate.com) — Victoria County law enforcement recorded dozens of arrests between Dec. 8 and Dec. 14, ranging from drug possession and theft to aggravated assault and organized criminal activity. 4. Carl Hugh Prokesh (tylerpaper.com) — An 88-year-old Fort Worth resident who was born in Victoria and went on to a notable engineering career and rich family life has died after a long illness. His story traces a path from Victoria roots through military service, NASA-related work, and community philanthropy, with funeral services scheduled in Fort Worth later this month.
   

5. On a day of dreams and determination, three Dobie athletes signed their futures, leaving behind high school legends to new challenges. (pasadenian.com) — Three Dobie High School softball standouts are taking their talents to college, including one headed to Texas A&M University–Victoria, keeping a local tie strong.
