The 5 Craziest Moments From Ben Carson's Insane Interview With MSNBC

"Turn her microphone off so I can talk," Carson said when he was interrupted by a panelist.

Remember Ben Carson? The last time we checked in on the retired neurosurgeon/Christian speaker/Donald Trump shill, he had dropped out of the GOP presidential race after winning a grand total of seven delegates.

That concluded his candidacy for president, which included a made-up story about going to West Point on a full scholarship, a truly painful "rap" radio ad aimed at the inner city youth of Atlanta and a speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition in which he pronounced the militant Palestinian group Hamas as "hummus," the delicious dip made from chickpeas.

He reemerged Friday morning, shilling for Trump on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," as the Republican nominee apparently has run out of people who will defend him on television following a wave of sexual assault allegations against him by women across the country.

It was a dizzying 10 minutes or so. You can watch full video of Carson's appearance below, but to make things simple for you, we've pulled out the five craziest parts:

The arm rests on the airplane are too big (?)

Carson said there's no way the story of Trump groping a woman on an airplane can be true.

His reason (as far as we can tell): The arm rests in first-class seating are too big. So Trump couldn't have lifted it up to touch the woman. Plus, there are people everywhere!

"No, I do not have any insight into that," Carson said. "Although, I do have common sense. And you know, for instance, if somebody's sitting next to you in a first-class section of the airplane, there are stewardesses, there are other people around. And there's just gigantic armrests. What happened to all those things?"

But it actually doesn't matter whether she's telling the truth or not...

...because there's too much at stake to be worrying about trivial matters such as sexual assault.

“It doesn’t matter whether they’re lying or not,” Carson said about Trump's accusers. “Listen, it doesn’t matter whether they’re lying or not. What matters is that the train is going off the cliff. We’re taking our eye off of that and getting involved in other issues we can take care of later.”

We can put Christian values aside for now, too

"Do you think Judeo-Christian values apply during campaigns or only after campaigns?” host Joe Scarborough asked him.

“I would love for us to engage in a conversation on Judeo-Christian values," Carson replied, "and I would love for us to bring morality back, and we need to do it at times other than a political campaign.”

Getting through to the media is 'like hitting against a brick wall.'

"Getting people and particularly people in the news media to understand how much trouble we're in. Look at what's happening to the future of our children,” Carson said. “It's like you need to shake people and say, 'Look, folks, we’ve got to deal with this.' These are not Republican or Democrat issues. This is America we're talking about. Get it through your thick skulls.”

Can we cut this woman's mic?

Panelist Katty Kay asked Carson: “The real reason women who have been sexually abused don't come forward to talk about their stories is precisely this: that all too often, they're accused of being liars. Are you saying these women are lying?”

Carson replied: “That's your characterization because you need to characterize it that way to try to make me the bad guy."

That set off a stream of cross talk among Scarborough, Kay and Carson.

Eventually, Carson said, “Hey, can you turn her microphone off, please? Turn her microphone off so I can talk."

They did not.
