The Grammy-nominated rapper puts on an electrifying carnival-themed show that will transport you to another world.
There are some concerts where you can expect to sit back, relax and watch all the action from the comfort of your seat. Travis Scott's "Astroworld: Wish You Were Here" is not one of those concerts. In fact, the rapper's tour is designed so that you're not just attending the show — you're part of it.
The second leg of Scott's "Astroworld" tour kicks off January 25 in Vancouver and extends into March with shows across the U.S. and Canada. If you don't already to have tickets to a show near you, here are five reasons why you'll want to fix that immediately.

1. The Music
Scott's catalog of music might not be family-friendly, but there's no denying that the 26-year-old Houston native is one of today's biggest and most celebrated rap artists. He is currently nominated for three 2019 Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album for "Astroworld" and Best Rap Song for "Sicko Mode" featuring Drake, Swae Lee and Big Hawk.
2. The Theatrics
"Astroworld" transforms the stage into a carnival scene with twists, turns and fully functioning amusement park rides. The bright lights, pyrotechnics, Ferris wheel and working roller coaster are all things you have to see to believe.

Even with these larger than life distractions, Scott manages to masterfully own the space. One Washington Post reviewer describes him as "one of the most electrifying performers of our time," calling the rapper a "provocateur" who functions as "the maestro directing the chaos" at every show.
3. The Personal Experience
Scott's willingness to mesh with the crowd has become one of the hallmarks of his shows. As he explained in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, he "want[s] to bring in that live interaction" between himself and the fans.
"So if someone is going to sit in the seats and watch, they need to understand they're a part of the show," he said. "If you don't want to [participate] then you just bought a ticket to watch."
Scott often plucks fans from the crowd to join him onstage. Some lucky concertgoers have even gone for a ride on the operational onstage Ferris wheel while Scott performs.
4. The Special Guests
Scott has collaborated with artists like Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, John Legend, Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Madonna. These superstars aren't officially on the roster, but the first leg of his tour had several surprise guest appearances from his musical peers.
There's also a chance that Scott's girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, or a member of the Kardashian family will be at any given show.
5. The Thrill
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Scott explains his Astroworld record is named after a now-defunct theme park he used to visit in Texas. "It had a Dungeon Drop, Greezed Lightnin', Superman,” he recalls. "It was a way of life – fantasies, imagination."
