Annoying Neighbors: What Bugs You, And What Do You Do? [Block Talk]

ACROSS AMERICA — Most of us get along fine with our neighbors as long as they’re trustworthy, quiet and friendly. Mix in a block full of kind neighbors who volunteer to cut the grass or shovel the snow when you can’t, who respect your privacy and who handle differences maturely, and you’re in “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.”

What about the 25 percent of us who, according to a good neighbor survey, would rather live next to someone else? Oh, you know the type:

They blare their music and carry on all night, or cuss a blue streak in front of your kids. They start running power equipment as the sun comes up and continue until long after it sets. Or maybe they invade your space and intrude on your privacy, or take the opposite approach and talk to you only in snotty notes? And what about those people who assault your eyes by parading around in front of picture windows wearing nothing at all?
