Bernie Sanders Says He Will Vote For Hillary Clinton ... But Does Not Endorse Her

Sound familiar?

Bernie Sanders said Friday that he will vote for Hillary Clinton. But he clarified that he still wasn't ready to endorse her and that he wasn't dropping out of the Democratic presidential race yet.

The Vermont senator was asked directly on MSNBC, "Are you going to vote for Hillary Clinton in November?"

He replied, "Yes," but stopped short of giving an endorsement.

Asked why he won't fully endorse Clinton, he told CBS that "I haven't heard her say the things I need to hear said," like tuition-free college and a $15 minimum wage.

The line between voting for someone and endorsing them seems to have become blurred this election season, especially on the Republican side where party leaders are reluctantly saying they'll vote for Donald Trump while calling him racist at the same time.

Sanders' situation isn't that dire. In fact, he said his main reason for voting for Clinton is Trump.

"The issue right here is, I think I am going to do everything I can to defeat Donald Trump," he said.

But Sanders won't formally bow out of the race yet, even as he acknowledged that he probably doesn't have a chance at winning.

"I don't have the votes to become the Democratic nominee, you know that, I know that, we're good at arithmetic," he told CNN.
