Betty White’s 100th Birthday: 'Dream Job' To Binge Watch Pays $1K
"America's sweetheart" Betty White is about to turn 100. An insurer is offering a "dream job" to her biggest fan. It pays $1,000.

ACROSS AMERICA — You may be able to win $1,000 just by adoring Betty White, the comedic actress whose appeal across multiple generations had made her America’s unofficial sweetheart.
To celebrate White’s 100th birthday on Jan. 17, 2022, the Choice Mutual insurance company dreamed up a “dream job” promotion that requires entrants to watch 10 hours of White’s best work.
White is nothing short of a national treasure. She is widely embraced for her warmth and mirth, but also for acting skill that allowed her to play the naive Rose Nylund on “The Golden Girls” and the vampy Sue Ann Nivens on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” with equal aplomb.

The insurer, which works with older Americans, said in an email that “we love how Betty White continues to inspire fans to always pursue what they love, no matter their age.”
A pioneer for women in television, White moved from radio to the small screen in the 1930s, establishing herself as the “first lady of game shows” with regular appearances on “Password,” “To Tell the Truth,” “The Hollywood Squares” and others. She was among the first women to produce a sitcom, “Life With Elizabeth,” which premiered in 1953 and lasted two seasons.
