UPDATE: Bismarck State College On Lockdown; Credible "Machine Gun" Threat
Police were searching the campus Thursday afternoon.

BISMARCK, ND - Bismarck State College was placed on lockdown for most of Thursday after the school said it received a credible threat to “shoot up the library with a machine gun.”
The Bismarck Police Department said there was “no active shooter” on campus, and it searched the campus for the person who posted the threat.
Classes were cancelled for the rest of the day Thursday.

A picture of the threat was posted on the internet, the college said on Facebook.
Campus was locked down to stop traffic, the school said.

“The Bismarck Police Department has given an all clear for every building on the BSC campus,” the school wrote at 4:15 p.m. CT. “All students, employees and guests are now free to take your belongings and leave all classrooms and offices.”
Bismarck State College is a comprehensive community college in North Dakota’s state capital with 3,781 students, according to its website.
