UPDATE: Men Rescued From Dangling Scaffolding In Downtown Houston

Local news showed scaffolding hanging at a steep angle.

HOUSTON, TX — Firefighters in Houston rescued two window washers Monday afternoon from dangling scaffolding outside the Chase Bank Building downtown.

The workers were outside of the 71st story of the approximately 75-floor tower, the fire department said, when they experienced a motor malfunction and radioed for help.

Local news footage showed the scaffolding hanging at a steep angle.

Two window glaziers, workers who install and remove windows, were on scene along with a mechanic from the window-washing company, the fire department said.

The men were rescued after glaziers removed a 71st-floor window, and the men were brought through to safety.
