[UPDATE] 9 Dead In Akron Apartment Plane Crash

The plane hit Tuesday afternoon.

A small plane crashed into an Akron apartment building Tuesday afternoon killing two pilots and seven passengers, the owner of the plane told Ohio.com.

The Hawker H25 business jet went down at approximately 3 p.m. on its way to Akron Fulton Airport, the FAA said in a statement to Patch.

The plane may have clipped a wire first before hitting an apartment building, Cleveland19 reported.
