Scaffolding Collapse Near Minute Maid Park Leaves 6 Injured
The collapse was reported early Friday afternoon.

The Houston Fire Department responded to a scaffolding collapse near Minute Maid Park that resulted in six injuries.
Firefighters were seen on local news footage digging trapped and injured workers out of the wreckage.
The fire department said it was dispatched to the scene at 11:10 a.m. Friday morning and arrived in three minutes.

More than 30 units were on the scene, ”including several heavy rescue units,” the fire department said.
Six construction workers have been taken to nearby hospitals with non-life-threatening injures.

“We ran over as soon as we heard it,” a witness told KHOU. ”It sounded like a bunch of boulders.”
