St. Louis County Declares State Of Emergency Amid Ferguson Protests
There have been reports of several arrests.

St. Louis County declared a state of emergency Monday as protesters continued to march on the day after the one-year anniversary of the shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson degenerated into a gunfight.
Police said that there were gunshots fired during the protests, and that an officer was involved in one incident. At least three people were shot and four were arrested during protests in Ferguson, according to USA Today.
St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger announced the state of emergency in a press release, “in light of last night’s violence and unrest in the City of Ferguson, and the potential for harm to persons and property.”

There have also been reports out of St. Louis of several arrests, including one estimate of “at least 20” from Yamiche Alcindor of USA Today.
One of those arrested is Deray Mckesson, an activist with more than 200,000 followers on Twitter. Nicholas J.C. Pistor posted video of Mckesson’s arrest:

Prior to his reported arrest, Mckesson tweeted that another popular activist, Johnetta Elzie, had been arrested. Elzie’s latest tweet alluded to a possible arrest:
