"Clock Kid" Ahmed Meets President Obama At White House Astronomy Night

Obama made good on his promise.

Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old from Irving, Texas, who made made national news in September after his arrest for bringing a homemade clock to school, shared Tuesday photos on social media of him meeting President Barack Obama the night before at the White House’s astronomy night.


Mohamed has met with Facebook, Google and Sudanese president Omar al-Bashir since he was taken to a juvenile detention center in Irving on September 14.

An English teacher at MacArthur High School mistaked the homemade clock, made in a briefcase with electrical wires and other parts, for a bomb.
