2016 Delaware Democratic Primary Results: Hillary Clinton Wins

Is this the last stand for Bernie Sanders? Or will he defeat Hillary Clinton to get back on track?

Hillary Clinton has been declared the winner of Delaware's Democratic primary Tuesday, her second projected win of the night over Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

The state's polls were open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. local time on April 26. Delaware residents can find their polling places here.

At least one Delawarean had already cast his vote. Vice President Joe Biden cast an early ballot Friday at his Wilmington home. The veep, though, has been tight-lipped when it comes to who he his supporting.

Delaware Gov. Jack Markell has endorsed Clinton.

Clinton, the former Secretary of State, still held a small lead in Delaware over her rival from Vermont, according to the most recent polling data.

Gravis Marketing polled 1,026 likely Democratic voters via robo-call on April 17 and 18. Clinton had 45 percent support to Sanders' 38 in that poll, with 17 percent still unsure. The poll had a 3.1-percent margin of error.

Sanders will need as many of Delaware's 31 delegates as he can get if he wants to stay alive in a race where he is facing a seemingly insurmountable delegate lead. A poor showing on Tuesday, where five total states are voting, could be the end for him if Clinton wins in a clean sweep.

Heading into Tuesday's voting, Clinton held a pledged delegate lead of 1,428 to 1,153.
