DirecTV Outage: 'Multiple' Channels Out Tuesday, March 8
The outages were reported Tuesday afternoon.

DirecTV reported that the satellite provider was experiencing outages that included "multiple national channels."
DirecTV confirmed the outages at 2:05 p.m. EST.
The company said in a tweet that it was working to restore service.
Multiple national channels are experiencing loss of audio and video. We’re working to restore your service. Thanks for your patience.

DirecTV gave an update at 4:15 p.m. EST saying that it was confirming that all channels were being restored. But customers were still tweeting the satellite provider as of 5:05 p.m. EST saying they were experiencing outages.

DirecTV was also replying to tweets from concerned customers, saying some version of, "We're aware of the issue and are working to resolve it as soon as possible."
The website downdetector.com was reporting DirecTV outages in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Houston, among other cities.
