Donald Trump's Ground-Game Ditch: His Kids Miss Deadline, Can't Vote
If Trump's organization matched his rhetoric, his kids would be able to vote for him.
Donald Trump's not-so-organized campaign operation — which is currently hemorrhaging unbound delegates to the more savvy Ted Cruz while the Donald kicks and screams about playing by rules he doesn't like — apparently can't even get the people closest to him to cast a vote.
Trumps 34-year-old daughter Ivanka and 32-year-old son Eric missed the deadline to register to vote in New York and won't be able to support their father in next week's Republican primary vote.
They must have missed the Bernie Bros walking around Washington Square Park with clipboards.

The two votes probably won't hurt him all that much; Trump is dominating polling in his home state.

But it further underscores Trump's and his campaign's inability to comprehend even basic election rules. (And this one was less rule and more simple deadline.)
"They had a long time to register, and they were unaware of the rules, and they didn't register in time," Trump said. "So they feel very, very guilty. They feel very guilty. But it's fine, I mean, I understand that. I think they have to register a year in advance, and they didn't."
They do not, actually, have to register a year in advance. The deadline to register to vote in the New York primary is March 26.
But, sure, let's trust this guy to handle the complex economic, social and international issues facing America.
