Donald Trump Planning 'Victory Tour' of Rallies Before Inauguration Day

The president-elect plans to visit states he won, especially the ones he's flipped.

President-elect Donald Trump has less than 70 days until he is sworn in as president of the United States, and his transition team is reportedly in disarray and running behind schedule.

So how will he spend at least part of the next few weeks and months? Holding large "victory" rallies across the country to celebrate his Election Day win.

That's what George Gigicos, the Trump campaign’s advance team director, said Thursday, according to pool reports.

“We’re working on a victory tour now," Gigicos said. "It will happen in the next couple of weeks." The rallies will bring Trump "obviously to the states that we won and the swing states we flipped over," Gigicos said.

That means Trump would be visiting 30 states — and possibly 31 once the Michigan results are certified — before Inauguration Day as he attempts to set up a federal government.

It's no secret that Trump loves his rallies.

The massive crowds he drew at arenas and stadiums across the country became staples of his improbable presidential campaign. And since Election Day, he's reportedly been considering keeping that going. The New York Times reported that Trump has expressed interest in holding more rallies, even after he had been elected.

Trump "likes the instant gratification and adulation that the cheering crowds provide, and his aides are discussing how they might accommodate his demand," the Times report said.
