
The massive storm that blanketed parts of the East Coast in several feet of snow brought its fair share of mayhem over the weekend.
But it wasn’t all doom and gloom. The heavy snow made for a heartwarming marriage proposal, adorable animals and stories of triumph and survival.

A New York man was supposed to propose to his girlfriend at a restaurant where she was scheduled to meet her friends. The snowstorm changed those plans when the restaurant closed for the night.

She was found conscious and taken to a local hospital.
