Houston, San Antonio Miss Out On College Football Playoff Title Game
The hosts for the 2018, 2019, 2020 title games were announced Wednesday.
Houston and San Antonio won’t be hosting a College Football Playoff championship game this decade.
Atlanta, Santa Clara (California) and New Orleans will host the playoff title games in 2018, 2019 and 2020, the CFP’s management committee announced Wednesday.
Houston and San Antonio were among the bidders, along with Charlotte, Detroit, Minnesota and South Florida.

The inaugural playoff championship game was held in Arlington, Texas, in January, where Ohio State beat Oregon 42-20 at AT&T Stadium.
Glendale, Arizona, will host this season’s title game, and next season’s will be held in Tampa.
