Ice Cream Bars Recalled For Listeria Fears
Three flavors of ice cream bars sold at various stores across the U.S. are subject to the recall.
Three flavors of ice cream bars sold at various grocery chains across the United States have been recalled due to possible listeria contamination, the FDA said.
Fieldbrook Foods Corporation said all orange cream bars, chocolate coated vanilla ice cream bars and nearly 29,000 cases of raspberry cream bars produced last year at the company's Dunkirk, New York plant are subject to the recall. The cases were shipped between March and August 2017.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the ice cream bars, according to the FDA. The potential for contamination was found during routine testing. The recall has been issued back to Jan. 1, 2017 and even though there is no evidence of contamination prior to Oct. 31, 2017.

The recalled products have a production date of Jan. 1, 2017 to Dec. 31, 2017 and a best by date of Jan. 1, 2018 to Dec. 31, 2018. The Hood and Kemps products may show a “best by” date of July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.
