KFC Made Sunscreen That (Allegedly) Smells Like Fried Chicken
Do you want to try some? Too bad, they already ran out.
If you love fried chicken and sunscreen, you missed your big chance.
In a promotion for its new extra crispy fried chicken, KFC made a limited number of bottles of sunscreen that were designed to smell like fried chicken. The chicken chain ran a cheesy promotional video and even made a whole website out of it.
The chicken chain said it was giving away 3,000 bottles on its website. They were gone almost as soon as they went up.

A message on the website reads, "This was a limited-time offer and we ran out of the KFC Extra Crispy Sunscreen. Please accept our apologies in the form of this amazing website that you can still look at.
If you missed your chance to smell like grease and seasoning on your next beach trip, don't be too upset.

While Patch did not get the sunscreen either, a couple of privileged Associated Press reporters did. The reviews were not great.
"Several Associated Press reporters who tested the sunscreen said the smell did not immediately bring to mind chicken, however," the AP's story reported.
