Kokomo, Indiana, Tornado Touches Down, Levels Starbucks

The tornado touched down Wednesday afternoon.

Severe weather in Central Indiana on Wednesday produced at least one tornado, which touched down in Kokomo near the town's mall and leveled a Starbucks in the city.

It was not immediately clear if the tornado in Kokomo, a town an hour and a half north of Indianapolis, caused any injuries.

Indianapolis Colts Kicker Pat McAfee tweeted, "Kokomo.. Our thoughts are with you.. We will help as soon as we find out how.. We're in this together#Hoosiers."

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, who has been on the campaign trail as Donald Trump's Republican running mate, tweeted that he was heading back to his home state.

According to RTV6, the tornado also partially damaged a Panera bread, blew roofs off of homes and took down trees.

People in Kokomo took to social media to share scenes from the tornado, showing damage to a town country club and athletic facility.
