See Michelle Obama's Emotional Speech in NH Denouncing Donald Trump's Comments on Women: Video
"This isn't about politics, this is about basic human decency," the first lady said.
First Lady Michelle Obama delivered a passionate speech on behalf of the Hillary Clinton campaign Thursday in Manchester, New Hampshire, focusing pointed criticisms against Donald Trump's comments about women.
"A candidate for president of the United States has bragged about sexually assaulting women," the first lady said. "I can't stop thinking about this. It has shaken me to my core."
Referring to Trump's recently publicized comments in a recorded conversation with Billy Bush on Access Hollywood, she continued: "This is disgraceful. This is intolerable. And it doesn’t matter what party you belong to. No woman deserves to be treated this way.

"This isn’t about politics, this is about basic human decency," she said.
At times during the speech, her voice became raw and emotional, particularly when she talked about the impact electing Trump would have on young girls and boys.

"The measure of any society is how it treats its women and girls," she said. "Consider this: If all of this is painful to us as grown women, what do you think this is doing to our children?"
She continued by declaring that if the voters elect Trump, "We won’t just be setting a bad example for our kids, but for the entire world.”
After decrying Trump's comments and their effects, she turned to praise Clinton, noting the former secretary of state's extensive experience and the fact that "yes, she happens to be a woman.” The first lady also emphasized the importance of voting on Nov. 8 and argued against those who might vote for a third-party candidate.
"If you vote for someone other than Hillary, or if you don’t vote at all, you are helping to elect her opponent," she said. "We cannot afford to be tired or turned off. We cannot afford to stay home on Election Day."
Observers lavished praise on Obama's speech:

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One en route to Pittsburgh later in the day Thursday, White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz fired a warning shot to Trump about any attacks on the first lady.
"I can’t think of a bolder way for Donald Trump to lose even more standing than he already has by engaging the first lady of the United States," he told reporters.
