Moms always seem to know what to say in any situation. For Mother's Day, we want to shout out moms everywhere for their strength and wisdom.

ACROSS AMERICA — Moms always know best. Instinctively, they seem to know exactly the right thing to do, no matter the situation. They never stop being moms, using their love to push through life’s many challenges, supporting their children and other people’s children throughout their lives.

For Mother’s Day, which is Sunday, May 12, we’d like to shout out moms everywhere for their wisdom and strength.

Anna Jarvis of Philadelphia is credited with starting the tradition when she held a memorial service for her late mother’s church in Grafton, West Virginia, on May 12, 1907. Jarvis’ mother had organized women’s groups to promote friendship and health.
