Nationwide Pacifier Recall Announced Over Choking Hazard

Munchkin pacifiers are being recalled because a clip could detach, causing babies to choke. Ten cases have already been reported.

Munchkin pacifiers sold across the country at Walmart, Target, Babies-R-Us and on Amazon have been recalled for a choking hazard.

About 180,000 Munchkin Latch lightweight pacifiers and clips were sold as a set between March 2014 through March 2016, according to a release from the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The clip cover can detach, the recall announcement says, posing a choking hazard for babies using the pacifier.

Ten cases of the clip detaching have been reported, including five in the United States.

The CPSC said that people should take the pacifiers away from their babies. Munchkin will either send you a replacement pack with two pacifiers or give you a full refund.
